A Hollywood Heartthrob must make some "big" life decisions when he falls for a woman-of-size. Perception...the way we see things, and the way they really are.
SYNOPSIS
Noa McCall, a thirty year old, full-figured, cute redhead, decides she cannot take the rejection of yet another audition in Hollywood, and heads to the country to re-evaluate her life.
One night, in the midst of a crisis, she is "rescued" by Jason Hart, a handsome, thirty-something actor with a reputation for being rude and aloof. Jason has come to his cabin to mourn the sudden death of his father, and to escape the pressures of fame and an engagement to an A-list starlet.
Jason unexpectedly finds in Noa the freedom to be his old self – to enjoy silly things, eat real carb infested foods, and have fun. He finds himself falling for a "woman of size," but they both are conflicted between their feelings for one another and the reality of what his friends - and his public - will think.
When they get too close, Noa runs back to Hollywood so Jason's life will not be conflicted by her weighty issue. Jason is left behind to chase after his diamond in the rough...not knowing Noa is an actress, or where to find her.
When they meet by chance at a restaurant where Noa waits tables, he discovers that she is an actress - and that he wants her in his life. Noa runs away again.
Jason must make some major life decisions - follow his heart and jeopardize his career, or follow his career and jeopardize his heart? He only knows he must find her again, so he changes the description of the leading lady in his upcoming film to fit Noa's description.
Jason and his producers hold a casting call for every overweight, red-headed actress in Southern California. Not knowing Jason is involved in the film, Noa answers the call.
Noa and Jason meet again on the audition, where Jason follows his heart and openly professes his love to her and anyone else that will listen. She tries to run again, but this time, it's Jason that leaves first...
NOTES FROM ALLIE RAYE
This is my dream script and it's finally going to be made. However, pre-production is kicking my butt financially. A lot of people have expressed interest in donating to this film to help me get through pre-production. If you'd like to be one of those "angels" you can send a donation through paypal by clicking the link or emailing me for an address. You can use a credit card, debit card or an e-check or just have it taken right out of your bank. It's that easy! Plus you save on a stamp. We are setting up a post office box since checks are coming from all over the country!! How cool is that?
Right now, the prime location seems to be my hometown of Rockville, MD. A lot of my alumni from R.E. Peary High have written with interest to help. I have gotten beautiful locations, catering, make up people and crew. It will be another dream fulfilled if I can shoot this film in my hometown.
Stay tuned for updates. And, if you are an actor and are interested in the film, please drop me an email. We are also accepting pictures and resumes for our database.
THANKS EVERYONE!!!
Fondly,
Allie Raye
